Valentina E. Balas received the Ph.D. degree in applied electronics and telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Timisoara. She is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Automatics and Applied Software, Faculty of Engineering, Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, Romania. She is also the Director of the Intelligent Systems Research Centre, Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad. She is an author of more than 250 research articles in refereed journals and international conferences. Her research interests are in intelligent systems, fuzzy control, soft computing, smart sensors, information fusion, modeling, and simulation. She is a member of EUSFLAT, SIAM, and a member of TC-Fuzzy Systems (IEEE CIS), a member of TC-Emergent Technologies (IEEE CIS), a member in TC-Soft Computing (IEEE SMCS). From 2005 to 2016, she served as the General Chair for the International Workshop Soft Computing and Applications (SOFA), in seven editions, held at Romania and Hungary. She participated in many international conferences as an Organizer, the Honorary Chair, the Session Chair, and a member of steering, advisory or international program committees. She was the past Vice-President (Awards) of IFSA International Fuzzy Systems Association Council, from 2013 to 2015, and is currently a Joint Secretary of the Governing Council of Forum for Interdisciplinary Mathematics (FIM). She is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Advanced Intelligence Paradigms (IJAIP) and International Journal of Computational Systems Engineering (IJCSysE), a member of Editorial Board 12 IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, September 2019, a member of several national and international journals, and is an evaluator expert for national, international projects, and Ph.D. thesis.

Jinde Cao is an Endowed Chair Professor, the Dean of Science Department at Southeast University (SEU). He is also the Director of National Center for Applied Mathematics at SEU-Jiangsu of China and Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Networked Collective Intelligence of China. He is also Honorable Professor of Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, Almaty, Kazakhstan.He was a recipient of the National Innovation Award of China, Jiangsu Province May 1 Labor Medal, IETI Annual Scientific Award, Obada Prize and the Highly Cited Researcher Award in Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics by Clarivate Analytics. He is elected as a fellow of IEEE, a member of Russian Academy of Sciences, a member of the Academia Europaea, a member of Russian Academy of Engineering, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, a member of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, a fellow of African Academy of Sciences, and a fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences.

Zhongsheng Hou (IEEE Fellow, 2020) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Jilin University of Technology, Jilin, China, in 1983 and 1988, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 1994. From 1995 to 1997, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China. From 2002 to 2003, he was a visiting scholar with Yale University, CT, USA. From 1997 to 2018, he was with Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing, China, where he was a Distinguished Professor and the Founding Director of the Advanced Control Systems Laboratory, and the Head of the Department of Automatic Control. He is currently a Chair Professor and head of the Academy of Sciences Science and Control, Qingdao University, China.

Jianbin Qiu received the B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 2004 and 2009, respectively. He also received the Ph.D. degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the City University of Hong Kong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, in 2009.
He is currently a Full Professor at the School of Astronautics, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China. He was an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow at the Institute for Automatic Control and Complex Systems, University of Duisburg-Essen, Duisburg, Germany. His current research interests include intelligent and hybrid control systems, aerospace control, and robotics. Prof. Qiu is a Fellow of IEEE and serves as the chair of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Harbin Chapter, China. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics.

Dr Liang Hu is a professor with Tongi University and also the Chief Al Scientist with DeepBlue Academy of Sciences, China. His research interests include recommender systems, machine leaming, data science and general intelligence. He has published a number of papers in top rank interational conferences and journals, including WWW, IJCAI, AAAL, ICDM, TOIS, TKDE, TNNLS. He has been invited as the program commitee members of more than 30 top-rank Al interational conferences, including AAAI, IJCAI, ICDM, CIKM, and KDD. He also serves as the reviewer of more than ten top-rank interational journals, including ACM CSUR, IEEE TKDE, ACM TOIS, IEEE TPAMl, etc. In addition,he has presented more than ten tutorials on recommender systems and machine leaing at top-rank Al conferences including IJCAl, AAAl, SIGIR, WWW and ICDM.
